Why the name Crown of Glory

Ever feel like giving up?

Ever feel like everything has just begun to feel too hard?

I had a year like that last year. I felt like I was failing in many aspects of my life and I just wanted to quit… The Devil had me right where he wanted me, but praise God that He can take what is meant for evil and use it for good. I was taken to the end of myself, and where self ends God can begin. No longer wanting to just float through my Christian experience, my desire to be discipled grew stronger.

To train under Christ allowing Him to mould me into His image. But training is not a thing I am used to; I have always been completely undisciplined.

But this promise gives me hope, Phillipians 1:6 “he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion”

He created this desire in me and my prayer is that He will grow it as I continue to allow Him room in my life. This renew determination to not be overcome but to instead become an overcomer fuels me to cling to the challenge set before us by Paul – “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us”. Why? Because there is a reward! Greater than any prestigious award this world has to offer. “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.” No matter what trials this world may bring, heaven will be cheap enough. This blog will provide a space for me to share my journey.

1 Peter 5:4 “And when the chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the unfading crown of glory.” A crown of glory, our Saviour Jesus Christ.
